Where will the conference take place?

The conference take place at the Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main, Campus Bockenheim. It is NOT the university location Westend!

All panels are there, the Institute for Social Research (13) is five minutes away. One panel will be at the Archivzentrum (University Archive 1) of the University Library, which is cross the street.

The Institute for Social Research in Frankfurt celebrates its 100th anniversary in 2023. To mark this occasion, the 10th biennial conference of the International Herbert Marcuse Society (IHMS) will take place in Frankfurt am Main, October 5-8 at the Student House on the Bockenheim campus, established in 1953 by May Horkheimer, and the Archive Center of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University of Frankfurt.

The campus is close to the U Bahn Station: Bockenheimer Warte. – Goethe Universität Frankfurt am Main, Campus Bockenheim, Studierendenhaus, Jügelstraße.

The nearest bus stop and underground/suburban rail station is Bockenheimer Warte.

• Hauptwache or Konstablerwache: U6, U7 in the direction of Praunheim Heerstraße or Hausen ->Bockenheimer Warte
• Frankfurt Airport: S8, S9 in the direction of Hanau -> Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof -> U 4 via Messe in the direction of Bockenheimer Warte -> Bockenheimer Warte

By bus

• From F-Westbahnhof with No. 32 or No. 36 bus in the direction of F-Ostbahnhof or Sachsenhausen Hainer Weg -> Bockenheimer Warte
• From F-Ostbahnhof with No. 32 bus in the direction of F-Westbahnhof -> Bockenheimer Warte
• The No. 75 bus can also be taken to travel between the Bockenheim Campus (Bockenheimer Warte). and the Westend Campus (Uni Campus Westend, Bremer Straße).
